Fear of Failure
You have a dream in your life that you want to accomplish but you cannot seem to get started on it. You are paralyzed by fear. You are so scared of failure or living in fear of failure that you are stuck. You cannot take any action on your dream because you are experiencing depression, anxiety, worry and other negative emotions. You must change your frame of mind.
The problem with allowing fear to conquer you is that you will not truly know what you can accomplish unless you try. Your fear of failure is holding you back from success. Step out on faith and take action, knowing that when, not if you fall or stumble, but when, learn from it and get back up. Failure is just a test result. You can take the test over after more study and get a better result. It is only a failure if you do not learn from your mistakes, regroup and try again. Failure is usually part of the process of doing or learning how to do something right. When learning how to write the letters of the alphabet you did not make perfectly formed characters the first time. You had to practice writing the letters many times.
If you want to be an entrepreneur and own your own business study successful entrepreneurs or business owners. Most have failed at some point. If they had not failed they would not be where they are today. From Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich:
"Before success comes in any man's life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to QUIT. That is exactly what the majority of men do.
More than 500 of the most successful people America has ever known, told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them. Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one up when success is almost within reach."
If you try and fail, you can study and analyze that failure to find the lesson that it teaches. According to Hill you should "study failure in search of knowledge that may lead to success." In this way you can "learn the art of converting defeat into stepping stone to opportunity."
"Success comes to those who become SUCCESS CONCIOUS. Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become FAILURE CONSCIOUS." Change your mind from "FAILURE CONSCIOUSNESS to SUCCESS CONSCIOUSNESS."
It is better to have tried and failed and gotten back up again, than to have never tried at all wondering what could have been. Nothing will happen accomplish your goals if you do not take action.
