BlueParrott Roadwarrior B150 Wireless Headset review
Submitted by Gearhead on Fri, 03/14/2008 - 17:47.A wireless headset is one piece of technology that can make your life very easy. You can continue to type or collect information during a phone call and you do not have the aggravation of trying to balance the phone between your shoulder and your ear while filing or doing other things that you need to get done. Our favorite use for a headset is in speech recognition. Setup a voice recognition program like Dragon Naturally Speaking or the built in speech recognition in Windows Vista and you can use a headset to dictate your thoughts straight to text.

Submitted by Gearhead on Sat, 03/01/2008 - 15:51.Merlin Mann’s “Vision track” presentation at Macworld Conference 2008 in San Francisco (video and slides). In his talk, he mentions that not only do we fragment our own attention, we often don't set any sort of barrier to entry for other people, giving them free reign to further fragment our attention.

Make Yourself an Expert
Submitted by Aspire on Wed, 04/30/2008 - 16:04.If you have ever wondered why it seems that some people are more prone to be experts than others you are probably not alone. Many people think that experts were born with some sort of aura around them that points them to the perfect place at the perfect time and allows them to know all. This simply is not true. The only real difference between an expert and an amateur, in anything, is that experts know that in order to succeed they must never give up.

Study Finds Working At Work Improves Productivity
Submitted by Muse on Sat, 03/08/2008 - 20:53.A few months back (Nov 2007) the ONION, posted this humorous entry on work and productivity. Among the findings is the fact that actually working increase productivity versus not working.
"Perhaps even more shocking, the study reveals that not working significantly decreases worker productivity, sometimes even resulting in no work getting done at all. Similar findings were reported in the areas of avoiding work, putting off work, complaining about work instead of actually working, pretending to work, and f**king around."

Productivity for Creative purposes
Submitted by Aspire on Sat, 02/23/2008 - 16:51.Productivity helps you to be … well productive. We all need to be more productive in both our personal live and our professional lives. This is particularly true if your profession revolves around creativity or anything artistic. For example, if you are a writer, then you are among those who have artistic and creative professions. Using productivity methods and tips is highly important, as artistic types tend to wander from the subject and lose time that could be used for working.

You can probably think of several people who you consider to be highly successful in one area of their lives, work for example, but are lacking in other areas such as home or family life. Achieving your full potential will mean a good balance between all aspects of your life.
