Delegation
Submitted by Aspire on Mon, 03/03/2008 - 17:31.Delegation has received a terrible reputation. Many people feel that if they delegate a task, be it personal or professional, to someone else then they have simply side-stepped doing the task themselves. Delegating a task to someone in order to make time for more important things is actually a positive experience, despite the negative reputation.

There are several presets built into AutoPager, you just have to decide which to turn on. I'm primarily using it with Google and on a stock image site. This is one of the recommended addons for Firefox users which can be downloaded from here.

Tips for GTD’s Ubiquitous Capture
One of the revelations of GTD is the very simple (and in retrospect, very obvious) mandate to write everything down. Capture all your thoughts on paper (or digitally) — don’t let them float around in your head, where they will surface at inappropriate times, stress you out and be forgotten when they are needed. Have an idea? Write it down, right now, before you forget. Thought of an errand you need to do? Capture that as well. Just remembered something for your grocery list? You know what to do.
Study Finds Working At Work Improves Productivity
Submitted by Muse on Sat, 03/08/2008 - 20:53.A few months back (Nov 2007) the ONION, posted this humorous entry on work and productivity. Among the findings is the fact that actually working increase productivity versus not working.
"Perhaps even more shocking, the study reveals that not working significantly decreases worker productivity, sometimes even resulting in no work getting done at all. Similar findings were reported in the areas of avoiding work, putting off work, complaining about work instead of actually working, pretending to work, and f**king around."

Keeping Yourself Motivated
Submitted by Aspire on Fri, 04/11/2008 - 18:46.Lack of motivation is a common occurrence. First you get hit with the motivation to get something done. Whether it is finishing a big project or simply organizing your workspace. You get excited that you are ready to finally finish the task. The only problem is once you have started you lose your motivation to finish. This happens to everyone. Motivation is something that must be constantly nurtured in order for it to survive. Many people, once they have lost the motivation to see a project through, give up completely and never finish the project.

Submitted by Aspire on Thu, 02/28/2008 - 13:27.Finding the right planning tool depends primarily on your personal style and preferences. Certain planning tools that work well for some may very well not work for others. When choosing a planning tool it is important to know that the first method you try may not work for you. If this happens then simply move on to the next and the next, until you find the one that works best for you personally. You may actually find a planning tool that works but needs a little adjustment in order for it to be exactly what you need.

This is particularly true if your profession revolves around creativity or anything artistic. For example, if you are a writer, then you are among those who have artistic and creative professions.
